The leadership council of the South Sudan Opposition Movement Alliance Leadership Council (SSOMA-LC) on Friday, September 22 resolved to suspend the activities of the South Sudan United Front/Army (SSUF/A) led by Gen Paul Malong with immediate effect.

Congolese authorities have arrested four SPLM-IO soldiers 3 kilometers deep inside Congo who were part of a joint Kiir’s SSPDF and Machar’s SPLM-IO offensive that plundered villages, torched huts, looted animals, food, and household property belonging to Congolese citizens and South Sudanese refugees.

Also on 9th September 2020, the SSPDF and SPLA-IO carried out joint military attacks on NAS positions at Laiza and Agabe, Morobo County, Central Equatoria State.

Looted relief items spotted at SSPDF Kulipapa base

Items from a cargo of humanitarian aid meant for the displaced communities in Lainya County, Central Equatoria State have been spotted at an SSPDF base in Kulipapa just hours after two civilian lorries carrying the cargo were ambushed, looted, and then burned not too far away from the Kiir’s SSPDF base on August 29.
