The National Salvation Front (NAS) has condemned recent military attacks by South Sudan People’s Defense Forces (SSPDF) and allied militias on civilians in Upper Nile, Western Equatoria, and Western Bahr el Ghazal states. NAS accuses the government of ethnic targeting and fueling communal violence under the guise of security operations. The group warns that these attacks are part of a broader political strategy by President Salva Kiir to consolidate power, likening the situation to the 2013 and 2016 massacres. NAS urges South Sudanese citizens, humanitarian organizations, and the international community to intervene and hold the government accountable.

NAS denied allegations circulating on social media that its forces burned homes and displaced civilians, instead accusing SSPDF of retaliating against local villagers. The NAS Military Command praised its forces for the successful operation.
