The ambush, we can now confirm, was an internal SSPDF operation carried out by disgruntled and demoralized soldiers – a fact that the SSPDF Spokesman badly attempted to cover up by alleging that the National Salvation Front (NAS) was behind it.

An enemy reconnaissance mission has been effectively neutralized after a small surgical force of the National Salvation Front (NAS) ambushed and destroyed the enemy intelligence mission on Wednesday, August 19 at Kuse Pager in Lobonok County, just a few kilometers from Juba.

In the morning hours of 25th July 2020, the SSPDF force launched an attack on NAS tactical position at Youndu in Kimba Payam Morobo County. NAS forces fought back in self-defense forcing the enemy to retreat towards Poki Hills and to Kaya town with some casualties.
