NAS has released over 23 persons under its protection – including the family of the SSPDF commander of Mile-45 base – to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to be reunited and celebrate the new years with their families.
This tragic and painful situation has put the leadership of the National Salvation Front (NAS) in front of a great national and historic responsibility whose meaning is renewed on such a religious and national occasion.

2019 Christmas and New Years Message from NAS leadership
What is needed is not just an agreement but a platform, a method of making agreements and keeping them. Inclusivity must be one of the pillars. Without everyone who can contribute to the peace process, there is no possibility of long-term solutions. Inclusivity is a must. True inclusivity recognizes that others hold some power and, especially, that they hold the key to future cooperation.
