The National Salvation Front (NAS) has expressed grave concerns following a worrying increase in the number and frequency of human rights violations and crimes against humanity committed by elements of Kiir's forces across the country in general, and in Central Equatoria State (CES) in particular.

In a touching message of condolences on the passing on of Gen. Abraham Wana Yoane who died after succumbing to injuries of an alleged assassination, Gen. Thomas Cirillo, the Chairman and C-in-C of the National Salvation Front (NAS) called the veteran "a true brother, elder and fellow compatriot" and "a fierce fighter, a revolutionary who [as an SPLA General] fought all the oppressive successive regimes in Khartoum from 1986 to the end".

General Thomas Cirillo, the Chairman and C-in-C of the National Salvation Front (NAS) has urged South Sudanese to "stand united with courage and resolve to overcome the oppressive regime and determine the destiny of our people and country".
NAS would like to inform the people of South Sudan and the International Community that, the road from Juba to Yei is covered by the illegal SSPDF and its allied militia's checkpoint [that are being] primarily used for extortion of money and other resources from the travellers.
