Statement on the on-going Propaganda against NAS
The Leadership of the National Salvation Front (NAS) would like to alert its members, sympathizers, the people of South Sudan and the International Community of propaganda documents being manufactured and circulated in media outlets by a gang of disgraced former members of NAS who have recently been dismissed and are now in the service of the enemies of the people of South Sudan.
The National Salvation Front (NAS), in collaboration with fellow members of the Non-Signatory South Sudan Opposition Groups (NSSOG), has formally penned a response to President Ruto of Kenya, voicing their apprehensions regarding the sudden and surprising shift in the venue and mediation strategy for the ongoing peace talks.

Frustrated by continuous systematic abuses meted out against their community, the leadership of the Bari Community (BC) in Juba have again asked the government to intervene and stop a long list of atrocities or risk the whole community not participating in the planned upcoming 2024 elections.
The BC also reiterated its position to have the capital city relocated from Juba to Ramciel - a plan that was resolved by the National Council of Ministers way back in September 2011.
The document examines appointments, promotions, postings, and deployments of Inspector Generals of Police (IGPs) and their deputies in South Sudan's police service from 2005 to present. Key points:

- Under the constitution, the President has unchecked powers to appoint unqualified, inexperienced officers to leadership roles. Lawmakers rubberstamp laws without understanding police policies.
- Upcoming 2024 elections will demonstrate how tribal police policies are used to intimidate voters and conceal irregularities to keep current president in power.
- Limiting presidential powers and moving police under state/county jurisdiction could improve professionalism, accountability, and serve interests of nation rather than tribe.
The document provides detailed profiles of IGPs and deputies from 2005-present, highlighting lack of qualifications and disproportionate Dinka/Nuer representation compared to other ethnic groups. It advocates reforming the police force to be more professional, accountable, and representative of the nation.
