A statement by SSOMA about the Rome resolution that "admits SSOMA into the Monitoring Mechanisms, particularly to the CTSAMVM pursuant to Rome Declaration paragraph 9 of January 12th, 2020. The Resolution also entitles SSOMA to participate in Monitoring and Verification of any violations committed against it or against other parties; and foremost, to pave way for further negotiations on pertinent issues that are basically the root causes of conflict in [the] country."

The leadership of NAS congratulates the forces of the Federal Unionist Liberation Front (FULF) under the command of Major Gen. Sebit Kon Kuon; and the forces of SPLM-IO Anyanya Division, under the commands of Brig Gen Anthony Onen Bosco and Brig Gen Lokang Charles on their joining of the people's movement NAS in December 2019.
NAS has released over 23 persons under its protection - including the family of the SSPDF commander of Mile-45 base - to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to be reunited and celebrate the new years with their families.
