20210612 NAS condolences message on the passing of Chief Laki Yoana

On behalf of the Leadership and all members of the National Salvation Front, I extent heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives, friends of Sultan Laki Yoana, the people of Lainya County in particular and South Sudan in general for the loss of this great elder, father and a passionate revolutionist.

To NAS, Sultan Laki is a hero, a martyr who sacrificed his entire life for the people and the Republic of South Sudan. The Leadership of NAS and its members salute and honour this dignified elder and father and promises that we shall continue the struggle to hoist the flag of freedom, justice and prosperity in South Sudan.

Following the kidnap on Sunday, May 31 2021 of 4 locals from Gumberi village of Lainya Payam in Central Equatoria State (CES) and their subsequent murder in cold blood on Monday, June 1, the Leadership of the National Salvation Front (NAS) has yet again voiced its condemnation of the recurring barbaric war crimes by forces under Salva Kiir against innocent South Sudanese across the country in general and, more recently, specifically against innocent civilians in the Equatorias.
