The Leadership of NAS therefore urges the people of South Sudan to use the family support system to fight the spread of the COVID-19 by taking care of themselves as parents and their children. Events such as funerals, weddings and parties should be avoided for now, keep social distancing and wear a mask while in public places.

The National Salvation Front (NAS) has announced that it has effectively defeated and “neutralized the first phase of the joint SSPDF and SPLA IO military offensive”, and hope that Kiir and his allies learn that “the futile offensive and the subsequent defeat sends a clear message that military [superiority] will never defeat human desire for freedom and justice.”

SSOMA is troubled and very concerned with the ongoing violations of CoHA 2017 by the Juba regime against the positions of SSOMA’s alliance member (NAS), despite the recommitment to the Feb 13 2020 Rome Resolution on CoHA.
SSOMA would like to inform the government and the IO, the people of South Sudan and the International Community that any attack on its members is an attack on the SSOMA as a whole.
