The management of NAS Radio, the voice of the National Salvation Front (NAS), is pleased and excited to introduce to the public a new vibrant show – The Alternative Amanda Show in partnership with NAS Radio.

Hosted by UK-based 30-year-old Amanda Alhag, The Alternative Amanda Show – which already had a presence of its own on YouTube and other socials- agreed to partner with NAS Radio and work together to produce a series of episodes aimed at engaging young South Sudanese and creating a safe and friendly platform to discuss issues that relate to them.

In the debut episode of the show entitled “The Pride and Joy of Being South Sudanese”, Amanda shares with the listeners a few things that give her pride and joy as South Sudanese. She also humbly introduces herself and hints at the kind of content and material she aims to be covering over the next few weeks such as “growing up junubi in London” and “being the darkest individual in your friendship group”, and much more.

A light-hearted take on the lived experience of being South Sudanese in the diaspora….discussing the good, the bad and the ugly about the variety of topics in life that may affect us all

In her own words, Amanda describes her show as “A light-hearted take on the lived experience of being South Sudanese in the diaspora. Discussing the good, the bad and the ugly about the variety of topics in life that may affect us all. The show aims to create a dialogue among all South Sudanese (not just NAS supporters), about how to move our country forward as a people, starting first and foremost with ourselves, and our development as individuals”.

The show will produce a new episode each week. Older episodes will be available for viewing and listening on the partners’ social platforms.
