Eleven (11) enemy soldiers have been killed, nine (9) AKM/47 assault riffles captured along with assorted quantities of ammunition and other equipment following a daring and successful counter-attack by the revolutionary forces of the National Salvation Front (NAS) on Wednesday, August 5 in Gorom Payam, a suburb just fifteen (15) miles from Juba the capital.

In the morning hours of 25th July 2020, the SSPDF force launched an attack on NAS tactical position at Youndu in Kimba Payam Morobo County. NAS forces fought back in self-defense forcing the enemy to retreat towards Poki Hills and to Kaya town with some casualties.
Sixty-one (61) government soldiers killed. Three (3) vehicles and one (1) armored Personnel Carrier (APC) destroyed. Forty-three (43) AK 47 rifles, two (2) 12.7 machine-guns, nine (9) RPG-7 and different assorted ammunition captured.
