NAS remains strong and united under Thomas Cirillo – public reassured

In the face of an apparent Juba-sponsored smear campaign orchestrated by disgraced former members, the leadership of the National Salvation Front (NAS) has come out to assure its members and the general public that all its organs and structures remain intact under the wise and unwavering leadership of General Thomas Cirillo.

NAS also reiterated and reinforced its revolutionary commitment to the people of South Sudan stressing that โ€œno amount of cheap propaganda, blackmail, lies or intimidation can deter the Movement of its resolve in pursuing the noble cause of the struggle for freedom, rights and dignity of our people.โ€

NAS made these reassurances in an 8-point statement entitled โ€œStatement on the on-going Propaganda against NASโ€ issued and signed by Mr. Suba Samuel, the official spokesperson.

On 5th February 2024, a gang of dismissed former members including Maj. Gen. Robert Lado Marko, Brig. Gen. Loku Mario Thomas Jada, and Colonel Stephen Lukaja, released a document dubbed a declaration of a so-called โ€œRevolutionary Command Councilโ€ in a desperate ploy to sow discord, weaken the peopleโ€™s movement, and spread misinformation.

Despite these Juba-orchestrated attempts to create divisions, NAS affirmed that it remains a united force, dedicated to the cause of freedom, rights, and the dignity of the South Sudanese people.
