NAS calls on freedom fighters country-wide to join ‘struggle to restore lost dignity’

Suba Samuel, NAS Spokesman, talking to the media

The leadership of the National Salvation Front (NAS) has appealed to all forces in the country who find themselves dissatisfied with Kiir’s dictatorial regime and Machar’s defunct SPLM-IO to join hands with the popular revolutionary NAS in its struggle ‘to restore the people’s lost dignity, justice, equality, and freedom’.

The statement was made in a press release issued on December 8 by the spokesperson Mr. Suba Samuel in which the leadership was congratulating Brig. Gen. Odong and encouraging forces all over the country to emulate his historic and revolutionary example.

Brig Gen Kennedy Ongie Odong, former Section 9 commander of Tafeng Division of the SPLA-IO in Eastern Equatoria State, on Saturday, December 5, 2020, joined NAS together with some of his colleagues and several forces under his command.

…NAS appeals to all freedom fighters in the country to join hands together with NAS in its struggle to restore our people’s lost dignity, justice, equality, and freedom…

It is this historic and revolutionary example set by Brig. Gen. Odong and his colleagues that NAS encourages all forces in the country to follow.

“NAS encourages all other forces in the country who are dissatisfied with the dictatorial regime Salva Kiir, including the SSPDF who feel exploited, to emulate the example shown by Brig. Gen. Odong and his colleagues.

“The leadership of NAS appeals to all freedom fighters in the country to join hands together with NAS in its struggle to restore our people’s lost dignity, justice, equality, and freedom”.
