NAS Chairman sends Eid al-Adha message, condemns regime’s war crimes and injustice

The Chairman and Commander-in-Chief of the National Salvation Front (NAS), Gen. Thomas Cirillo Swaka, has extended warm Eid al-Adha greetings to Muslims across South Sudan and the world, including members of NAS. In his official message, he expressed heartfelt wishes for joy, peace, and family unity during this sacred festival, despite the ongoing hardships faced by the people of South Sudan.
Gen. Thomas Cirillo condemned the regime in Juba for its continued campaign of violence against civilians, including rampant insecurity, indiscriminate bombings, and deliberate displacement, which he described as war crimes. He conveyed condolences to all those who have lost loved ones and reaffirmed NAS’s unwavering solidarity with the suffering population.
As we celebrate this great feast of sacrifice, South Sudan is embroiled in rampant insecurity and murders of civilians that constitute war crimes
The Chairman also acknowledged the deep economic sacrifices endured by citizens, particularly civil servants and security personnel who have gone unpaid for months. At the same time, the regime enriches itself at the people’s expense. “The struggle of the people will prevail in the end,” he declared, vowing that NAS remains committed to fighting for justice, dignity, and liberation from dictatorship.
The National Salvation Front feels your pain and is committed to the struggle to free our people from the yoke of this dictatorship and corrupt regime.
Calling on the region and international community to take a firmer stance, he welcomed sanctions, the extension of the UN Peace Mission, and the arms embargo. He concluded by renewing NAS’s call for a genuine, inclusive, and comprehensive political process that addresses the root causes of the conflict and paves the way for lasting peace.
Happy Eid al-Adha al-Mubarak to all.
