20250326 - NAS ARMY Press Release - Counter-Attack and Destruction of SSPDF Base in Kansuk

On March 25, 2025, NAS forces, led by Major Alfred Lujang Thomas, launched a counter-offensive in Kansuk, Kajo Keji County. The operation resulted in the deaths of 12 SSPDF soldiers, the capture of eight Kalashnikov rifles, and the destruction of an SSPDF detachment. During a later operation in Gederu, NAS forces were ambushed, leading to the loss of Major Thomas and three NAS fighters. Three civilians were also killed after being used as human shields by SSPDF.
