The Section-Nine commander of Tafing Division of the SPLA-IO in Eastern Equatoria State (EES) Brig-Gen Kennedy Ongie Odong on Saturday 5 December 2020 announced that he, some of his colleagues, and a large number of forces under his command have decided to join the National Salvation Front/Army (NAS).

The leadership of the National Salvation Front (NAS), through the NAS Strategic Policy Secretariat, has released the full version of its strategic policy document that proposes a federal model as the most viable option to address the root causes of the conflict in South Sudan.

The historic and strategic 87-paged document entitled “Federalism for a Peaceful and Prosperous South Sudan – The Federal System Model of South Sudan”, was first introduced to the world (and was well-received) in March 2020. The official public release of the full version comes with a foreword by NAS Chairman and Commander-in-Chief Gen Thomas Cirillo.

The National Salvational Front (NAS) has dishonorably dismissed some of its senior members who have been caught red-handed sabotaging the efforts of the revolutionary struggle and instigating division among its ranks and file.

NAS members asked to disregard defection propaganda

The National Salvation Front (NAS) is asking its members and supporters to disregard as propaganda the story about some of its officers defecting to the enemy.

The leadership has also congratulated and commended those of its members who saw right through the propaganda and took it upon themselves to discredit the information, rubbishing it for the garbage that it is.

NAS units on maximum readiness as Kiir pulls reinforcements from all divisions across South Sudan

The leadership of the National Salvation Front (NAS) has directed all its units to immediately observe a state of maximum readiness to defend themselves and civilians after Salva Kiir’s SSPDF General Headquarters (GHQs) in Juba ordered all military divisions in the country to contribute troops for what is believed to be imminent aggression on NAS defensive positions.
