Gen. Keny Luboron is calling on NAS political cadres to up their game and carry out their responsibilities to the fullest to support and maintain the outstanding achievements of the military forces on the ground.

The Deputy Chief of Staff for Training and the Sector Commander of Greater Equatoria also urged political leaders to pay frequent visits to the ground to bridge the divide with the populace, get a feel of the successful revolutionary struggle, and to raise political awareness.

Gen. Kenyi Luboron repeatedly made these remarks during meetings with a visiting high-level political delegation that was led by Gen. Yien Mathew, the NAS military spokesperson.

He went on to stress the importance of duty and responsibility in the context of a revolutionary struggle. He urged all NAS members who have taken on any sort of the noble responsibilities to carry out their tasks to the fullest.

“With the overwhelming support of our people and their solid stand behind the revolution, NAS forces in the frontlines are very capable of defending civilians and fighting to restore the dignity of the people. This is a serious life-or-death, freedom-or-slavery contract, and every responsibility must be taken very seriously,”

This is a serious life-or-death, freedom-or-slavery contract, and every responsibility must be taken very seriously,” cautioned the General.

“Let our people not get distracted by enemy propaganda. How many times have they killed me in their disinformation campaigns? Our forces here in the ground – supported by the civilian community – are very organised, well-disciplined, very determined and capable to keep this revolution of national salvation going on. What is more powerful than the will of a people to fight for what they believe in?”

He went on to point out that despite continues malicious attacks by Kiir’s militia on civilians and NAS positions, Juba and the world is beginning to realise that there is nothing stronger and invincible than an organised people standing together in solidarity who have the will and determination to do the right thing.

“Again, I appeal to NAS leaders, cadres and members on all levels to carry out their duties to the fullest and to firmly stand behind this glorious revolution that is based on truth and human values.

“And to continue winning this struggle, I appeal to the political cadres to be politically aware, and to help raise political awareness.”

Regarding the visit of the high-level delegation, Gen. Luboron said “…this year’s visit is very special and it will always be like that – or better. The steadfastness of the NAS forces, their precious sacrifices, and solid stand behind the people of South Sudan to realize the will and need for change is superior to anything.”

“NAS power!” He concluded.
