The Leadership of National Salvation Front (NAS) has received with deep sorrow the sad news of the sudden death of Rev. Bishop Wilson Noah Rule, the Bishop of the Lutheran Church of South Sudan. Bishop Wilson died on Thursday 21stย May 2020 in Khartoum, Sudan.ย
On behalf of the Leadership of The National Salvation Front (NAS) and on my own behalf, I congratulate all South Sudanese Muslims in South Sudan and outside the country on the occasion of the Eid al Fitr Al Mubarak.
Our beloved county, South Sudan, is going through a lot of difficulties, but let us borrow a leave from the lessons of mercy and compassion, of dignity and basic human rights, of mutual respect and understanding, of unity and solidarity and stay hopeful for a better South Sudan.
Sixty-one (61) government soldiers killed. Three (3) vehicles and one (1) armored Personnel Carrier (APC) destroyed. Forty-three (43) AK 47 rifles, two (2) 12.7 machine-guns, nine (9) RPG-7 and different assorted ammunition captured.
The National Salvation Front (NAS) has refuted false allegations by the SPLA-IO Deputy Military Spokesperson, Col. Lam Paul Gabriel that NAS abducted about eight of their officers – a claim that has now appeared to be a coverup of a much tragic internal power rivalry within the SPLA-IO.
