A press release by SSOMA on the continuous CoHA violations by the Juba regime against the South Sudan Opposition Movements Alliance (SSOMA).

SSOMA is troubled and very concerned with the ongoing violations of CoHA 2017 by the Juba regime against the positions of SSOMA’s alliance member (NAS), despite the recommitment to the Feb 13 2020 Rome Resolution on CoHA.
SSOMA would like to inform the government and the IO, the people of South Sudan and the International Community that any attack on its members is an attack on the SSOMA as a whole.

The leadership of the National Salvation Front (NAS) informs its members, supporters, the people of South Sudan and members of the International Community about the start of fresh joint military attacks on NAS positions by Kiir’s Sudan People’s Defence Force (SSPDF) and Machar’s Sudan People’s Liberation Army in Opposition (SPLA-IO) in Central Equatoria.

The South Sudan Opposition Movements Alliance (SSOMA) has commended statements by the Community of Sant’Egidio, the European Union (EU) and the United Nations Security Council Penal of Experts on South Sudan denouncing the continuing blatant violation of the Cessation of Hostility Agreement (CoHA) 2017 and the concerted offensive targetting civilians by the Kiir’s regime.
