Joint NAS and IO forces overrun strategic enemy garrison, capture armoured vehicle and significant military equipment

Joint forces of the National Salvation Front (NAS) and Sudan Peopleโs Liberation Movement-in-Opposition (IO) have successfully overrun an enemy garrison, forcing enemy fighters to flee and seizing significant military equipment, including a serviceable armoured vehicle.
In a coordinated assault launched at first light, the combined forces overwhelmed the enemy position after sustained fighting. The operation denied the enemy a forward staging ground, degraded their fighting capacity, and recovered weapons and supplies.
Video footage released alongside the statement shows the captured base and the armoured vehicle now in the possession of NAS/IO forces. The images from the overrun base in Kadi’ba county, Mundri Area in Western Equatoria, confirm the scale of the victory and the effectiveness of joint operations on the ground.
โOur operation was precise and measured. We seized enemy materiel and prevented further attacks on nearby communities,โ the NAS/IO statement declared.
While experts believe that the captured hardware would be utilised to strengthen operational capacity, the statement reaffirmed that joint operations will continue as necessary to protect civilians and secure reclaimed areas.
The capture of an armoured vehicle marks an important tactical success and demonstrates the growing capability of the NAS/IO partnership in confronting regime forces.
